MONA ABUL-FADL

Mona Abul-Fadl, Ph.D., Professor of Political Science, received her doctorate from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London and went on to become a full professor at Cairo University. Professor Abul-Fadl has been a Fulbright scholar at the Old Dominion University and an exchange scholar at the Center for Research and Study of Mediterranean Societies (CRESM) in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Her research interests include political theory; comparative politics; Islam and the Middle East; epistemology; and feminist scholarship. Her publications include: Paradigms in Political Science Revisited, Islam and the Middle East: The Aesthetics of Political Inquiry, Alternative Perspectives: Islam from Within, Where East Meets West: Reviewing an Agenda, and Contrasting Epistemics. Dr. Abul-Fadl balances her time between teaching at The Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences and teaching at the Cairo University.
