Waleed El-Ansary, M.A., is a specialist in Islamic economics,
currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Human Sciences program at George
Washington University. He has developed interdisciplinary courses
in Islamic economics examining the link between Islamic philosophy,
sciences of nature, economic theory and policy. He also teaches
Religion and the Philosophy of History, Epistemology and Research
Methodology, and History of Economic and Social Institutions in
Islam.
Mr. El-Ansary's publications include:" Recovering the Islamic
Economic Intellectual Heritage: problems and Possibilities," and
he co-authored "Linking Ethics and Economics: The Role of Ijtihad
in the Regulation and Correction of Capital Markets." Mr. El-Ansary
holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland.
