February 2005 - Ahmed Alwani, Executive Dean of The Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences was elected an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET: www.iacet.org) Commissioner during August of 2004 and began working in the Commissioners International Committee in February 2005. As a Commissioner, Mr. Alwani is involved in the authorization process that maintains international standards for authorized providers of continuing education and training and will assist the IACET Commissions in expanding their international membership. The international committee of the IACET commissioners was formed in early 2005 and met for the first time on February 3rd, 2005 at the Omni Hotel in Washington, DC. The goal of the international committee is to expand the international presence within the IACET membership.
