GSISS Moves to Ashburn, Virginia

September 1st, 2004 - The Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences has relocated its campus to Ashburn, Virginia. The new location is situated among a cluster of campuses on Route 7, which has become the academic corridor of Loudoun County. George Washington University's Virginia campus is one block west on Route 7. Strayer University's Loudoun Campus is adjacent to GSISS. Northern Virginia Community College's Loudoun Campus is one mile west on Route 7. Marymount University's Loudoun Campus is two miles east just off Route 7. Old Dominion University's Northern Virginia campus is four miles east just off Route 7. Shenandoah University's Northern Virginia campus is 7 miles west just off Route 7.
Twenty-five miles northwest of Washington, DC., GSISS is located immediately north of Dulles airport and one block west of the intersection of Route 28 and Route 7. The new campus offers students in the Washington metropolitan area a convenient location for quality education in Islamic studies disciplines. GSISS looks forward to the metro's future expansion to Dulles airport, providing commuter rail service that will make the new campus even more accessible.
