October 15th, 1999 - At the request of Dr. Beverly Blois, Chair, Humanities Division of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) in Sterling Virginia, a group of 20 students from NOVA toured this School and were hosted for an informal luncheon. The group consisted of Ms. Mona Sharraf's Arabic class; Dr. Blois; Chris Blake, the Foreign Language Chairman; plus several additional faculty. This school helped NOVA to identify Ms. Mona Sharraf for its first Arabic language class, which was reported to be very successful. The Arabic language class was particularly impressed by the School's 30,000 volume library of Arabic, Farsi and English volumes, and Horizon software program that enables students to conduct on-line research and catalog searches in Arabic or English.
