Dr. Abdalla Reports Project L.I.G.H.T. Was Successful

July 15th, 2004 - In his final report to the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), Dr. Amr Abdalla, Conflict Resolution Professor at The Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences, indicated that Project L.I.G.H.T. had been very successful. The one-year grant was one of twelve administered by NCCJ through a one million dollar September 11th Anti-Bias Project fund sponsored by the ChevronTexaco Foundation. In a conversation following the completion of Project L.I.G.H.T., Dr. Abdalla remarked that several Christian denominations had expressed interest in conducting similar projects modeled after Project L.I.G.H.T.
