WASHINGTON THEOLOGICAL CONSORTIUM - HOW TO CROSS REGISTER

Step-by-Step Guide to Cross Registering For a Course in a Consortium Member School

  1. Check the Course Listing for the Coming Semester. These can be found in the Consortium website: www.WashTheoCon.org or in print at your Registrar's office.
  2. Decide on the course(s) you wish to take at another Consortium member school.
  3. Check the semester calendar for the school offering the course to make sure you can attend all classes. Consortium member schools have different dates for beginning and ending the semester. Check the Consortium website: www.WashTheoCon.org for the latest information.
  4. Complete the Cross Registration Form. Forms are available through your Registrar.
  5. Secure the approval of your Academic Advisor. Advising systems vary - follow the procedures for your home school.
  6. Return your Cross Registration Form to your school's Registrar.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I don't have access to the internet; how can I find out about the current course offerings? See your Registrar. A limited number of printouts of the course listings are available in the Registrar's office at each member school.
  • How do I get to other schools? What about parking? Travel directions, maps, information on parking and Metro access are included in "Everything You Want to Know About the WTC" booklet that is distributed to all students and faculty at the beginning of the Fall semester. See your Registrar if you can't locate your copy of the booklet. Maps can also be found on each school's website (check the Consortium website, www.WashTheoCon.org for links to the schools.)
  • I would have to travel a long distance to take classes at another school. Are overnight accommodations available? Limited overnight accommodations are available at several schools in Washington, DC, Gettysburg, and Richmond. Contact the school offering the course(s) you're interested in for additional information.
  • Where can I find information about the individual campuses, and get some "inside information" on the courses listed on the WTC website? Check the Consortium website: www.WashTheoCon.org for links to all the member schools. Also, on page 8 of the "Everything You Want To Know About The WTC" booklet (see question #2) you'll find a listing of Consortium Student Board members who will be happy to answer your questions.
  • I'm confused about cross registration, where can I find help? See your Registrar or get in touch with the Consortium office. We'll be glad to help.
